Leo Garments differentiates itself from other clothing industries in terms of the type of products manufactured. It has a highly qualified specialized team of managers and operators who have vast experience in the protective overwear and equipment industry. Leo Garments has a dedicated Design and Development team who are always innovating in terms of product development.

Machinery and technology

Leo Garments constantly upgrades its machines. Specialised machines, such as tape seam sealing, high frequency and ultrasonic welding, embroidery, quilting and computerised pattern sewers are used to enhance product quality and adhere to stringent safety regulations. We have amongst the largest seam sealing capacity in the region. We use the Gerber Accumark suite of CAD software for design and marker making.

Customer Base

Leo Garments is a supplier to re-sellers of protective clothing and related products. The company prides itself in being associated with some of the predominant role players in the safety industry operating in the African market. The company also tenders for South African national government orders. It has supplied rainwear to the South African Air Force, the South African Police Service and the South African Navy and Cold Protective Wear to the South African Military Health Service and the South African Navy and products to many other State and Parastatal Entities.

Skills development and training

Leo Garments engages in employee development programmes offered by the FP&M SETA and other training providers. The company also contributes to worker academic improvement programmes by way of study grants.
